Eurosonic is the partnership of EBU stations specialized in youth programming. This unique partnership makes the EBU one of the major players on the contemporary pop music scene by developing and launching projects with festivals, artists and record companies, as well as broadcasting major events, such as festivals like "Roskilde", "Benicassim", "Paléo" or "Transmusicales de Rennes".

Members also support the Eurosonic Festival in Groningen, Netherlands, where EBU stations select and sponsor up-and-coming acts to perform at the showcase festival. In 2011, some 24 organizations sent 26 bands/artists to this annual event. The EBU Eurosonic Conference takes place every two years. The last edition took place in Hamburg on 22-24 September 2011. It has been hosted by NDR
